Pretty silver flower ring, handmade using 100% recycled 925 sterling silver and fine silver.

The ring band is hammered to create a soft, sparkly texture that catches the light. The flower detail is moulded from precious metal clay which is then kiln fired to create 999 pure silver (also known as "fine silver" - scroll down for more info).

WHAT IS PRECIOUS METAL CLAY / FINE SILVER?

Precious metal silver clay looks and feels like regular sculpting clay but contains tiny particles of pure silver which is mixed with an organic, non-toxic binder. It's also eco-friendly as the silver particles are recycled silver which has been reclaimed from scientific, medical and communications equipment.

Once the clay is shaped, it's then fired in the kiln at almost 900 degrees Celsius. The binder burns away, leaving a fine silver piece of jewellery which is 99.9% pure silver (sterling silver is only 92.5% pure silver, the remainder being mainly copper).

Since it contains no other metals, fine silver is tarnish resistant and, due to its purity, it is less likely to cause any reactions on the skin.
