Handmade pure copper flattened ball head pins for use in jewellery making. Sold in sets of 10 - choose your preferred wire gauge and pin length to suit your project needs.
These rustic balled tip head pins are individually handcrafted from pure copper wire. One end of the wire is heated using a butane hand torch which causes the metal to ball up on itself and creates a slightly pitted, textured surface. The pins are then pickled to remove any fire scale and the ball end is hammered to create a flattened round disc.
The pins are then tumble polished in a barrel polisher for added strength and shine.

- Choice of lengths:- 1 inch (25mm), 2 inches (50mm), 3 inches (75mm) or 4 inches (100mm).
- Choice of wire gauges: 0.6mm (22 gauge), 0.7mm 21 (gauge) or 0.8mm (20 gauge).
- Flattened tip approximately 3mm wide.
- Tumble polished for strength and shine.
Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of these head pins, there may be slight variations between each pin.
Pure copper is prone to tarnish and this is a natural occurrence. The shine can be easily restored with a silver polishing cloth.
